Prayer Request and My Saint of the Year

Back when I first started blogging as Another Catholic Mom (8 years ago!!!) I came across a blog called The Reluctant Atheist.  I remember chatting with her about the Catholicism and was lucky enough to be read about her conversion.  Now she is a wonderful Catholic writer and blogs at Conversion Diary.  I heard today from Catholic Digest on Facebook that Jennifer is in the hospital with pulmonary embolisms in both lungs.  So please take a moment today to pray for her quick healing and that they find the blocked artery quickly.

Her saint for this year was Saint Michael the Archangel, I think he was a good choice.

Go over to Jennifer's blog and find out your patron saint for the year.  Pray to that saint asking for their prayers on her behalf.

Here is mine:

St. Ulric of Augsburg

Feast: July 4

Patronage: Against Birth Complications; Against Dizziness; Against Faintness; Against Fever; Against Frenzy; Against Mice; Against Moles; Happy Death; Pregnant Women; Weavers

UPDATE:
Hallie Lord: They are holding off on surgery (though it's still an option) due to the size of the PEs and the fact that she is pregnant. Right now she's just on heavy doses of blood thinners and being watched closely. It's great news that the night passed without incident, but until the PEs are completely dissolved, it remains a very dangerous and scary situation. Thank you all so much for your prayers! I'll keep you posted as I find out more.
