{P,H,F,R} March 14, 2013

I have been so busy lately, I feel bad about not getting those other posts I have promised to write!  Hopefully next week.  Until then...

{PRETTY}
We have been having lots of pretty good fun learning about popes.

 Blurry, but here we are working on our Pope Lapbook designed by the amazing Jessica!  My kids are LOVING making these.  And it isn't too late to start either!  This would be an excellent lesson on the hierarchy of the Catholic church any time.

We have been having a pretty good time waiting for the pope too!

Where is the white smoke???

Ignore how messy our computer desk is.  We really didn't think it would happen yesterday.  I figured it would be super cool but I didn't think that they would.  So Lily and I went to the gym!  I was working away on the elliptical and my right foot started going numb at 50 minutes (urg) and as I was about to get off white smoke starts pouring out of the chimney!  So there I was, thinking, ok... what do we do?  Do we stay or do we go?  I didn't want to miss anything!

So I got on the arm bike for 10 minutes.  Contemplated leaving again.

Then I got on the exercise bike.  I usually head to the weight room, but there are no TVs in there.  So 35 minutes later, Lily goes and gets our stuff out of the locker.

Should we go?

We decide to get on the treadmill, but at this point I am feeling really bad that I am not with everyone at home seeing this historic moment!  So I tell Lily, "Let's go!"  She was panicked, sure we would miss it.  So we flew drove slowly home.  Lily had the seat belt off before I even had the car in park.  She ran into the house, "Did we miss it?  Did we miss it?"

Nope.  We didn't miss it.

We are gathered around the computer watching the live streaming when I realize that Sweet Pea is in desperate need of a diaper change.  Since I figured our new pope was never coming out I would go and change her diaper.

You guessed it.  I grabbed that poor half naked child and plopped her in front of the computer and changed her while I got our first glimpse of the new pope.

{HAPPY}

I haven't been to a certain fast food "restaurant" in almost a year (in fact all fast food joints are not on my list of acceptable places to eat anymore, lol) but it was her birthday.  And they had green milkshakes.  I am such a softie.  So after her flute lesson, with her amazing teacher and friends which included cheesecake, candles and some singing (one of the other two girls in her class has a birthday the day after Daisy, too!), I swung by and bought her a milkshake.  Sugar overload, anyone?

{FUNNY}

Ok, I am not sure if this is funny or creepy.   I think it might be funny because it does make me chortle every time I see it.  This is not Buttercup's character.  Or maybe it is the evidence
 of a hidden character up till now.... hmmm...

{REAL}

Oh yeah, Google.  Things just got REAL.  Are you kidding me?  You make my life easier and then yank it away.  I am changing my homepage.  You make me.... oh, so very, very, very annoyed.

Ok, deep breath.  It will be good, right?  Going to the blogs themselves is better.  It was just so easy to keep them organized.  I will keep all the blogs in a nice little bookmark on my computer.  Sniffle.  Stupid Google.

  1. I know what you mean about the Google thing! What's the deal? I think there are other options. It just takes too much time to check the blogs and then there be no post.

  2. I'm mad at Google too, but there are other options out there. I just hate change.

  4. Re, google reader how frustrating. I just google RSS feeds last night and downloaded FeedDemon it seems reasonably intuitive. Oh, but it is painful to have to go through and add all my links again (there is the possibility to sync with your google reader account but I don't know what happens once that shuts down?). Added 15 last night and will continue to add a handful a day until it is done.
