{yarn along} July 3, 2013

On a lighter note (lol)....

Thought I would share with you my sweater.  It is so hot these days that it is hard to get to knitting.  Especially on a big old sweater.  But as you can see it is really coming along!  I am very excited about it and this fall will be sporting it all over, I hope.  And there is that book I am reading, too,The Jesuit Guide to (Almost) Everything: A Spirituality for Real Life.   Really loving it.

So what are you up to?  Too hot to knit?

  1. Your sweater is beautiful. I have not knit a single thing - makes me sad. I am working on a quilt though, which I am loving!
    BTW - I have sent you a request through Instagram (I'm 9peasMom)

  2. I think summer is the perfect time for sewing! I just gave my machine to my mother in law (she is an expert seamstress), so not much sewing for me these days!

Sorry about the Instagram thing! I haven't been on it in so long! I had 9 requests!!

  3. I love that book..Fr. Martin really does a great way of making religious concepts feel applicable to every day life...you know if you aren't living in a convent and can't pray for hours each day. I know some say he is too liberal on some things...but his books I find are fabulous. I do hope you are feeling better about things and I certainly hope you begin to post more often again. I hope you are enjoying your summer, but I am quite curious on your homeschooling plans especially with your homeschooling high school series and Daisy's mentions of wanting to try something else.

    1. Thank you Christina! I don't know a lot about Father Martin other than I LOVE his book so far. It has been such a blessing. Thank you so your kind words. I have also been dancing around the debate in my head about homeschooling vs. unschooling lately too! Hopefully I will be posting some more fun things on that soon.
