Playing Mass

After lunch on Saturday, the kids decided they wanted to play mass, but they simply couldn't because Rogue wasn't there!  He and daddy were still up at Cub Scout camp, much to everyone's dismay.

After many assurances that Bear would be a wonderful priest, he finally agreed.  He doesn't look so confident, does he?  He processed in with Latin chant, thanks to you tube on my phone.

Some people wouldn't take their seats though...

But soon the liturgy of the word began.

The priest looks like he has heard these readings before...

The Gospel.

The priest obviously did not prepare a homily.  He mumbled something brief and sat down.

Then we started the Liturgy of the Eucharist.  The gifts were brought up.

Consecration.

Now he looks like he is getting into this.

Communion.

The priest really enjoyed this.  There was some jumping up and down.
The congregation was rather excited about this part, as well, and demanded more.

And just when you thought it was over, someone had to come up and give some sort of announcement.  I am not sure what it was about, but I am sure I will find it in the bulletin later.

And the procession out with more Latin Chant thanks to you tube.

It all ended with a "Let's do it again!!"
But it was time for some of the congregation to have a nap.
